Esclatar en flors /Burst into flowers 2024

‘Esclatar en flors’ (Burst into flowers*) is a secret cry, or a cry of joy. It is the complex mixture of suffering and the opposite; of feeling and relationship. From sculpture and drawing, this interweaving, as if it were roots that twist underground to look for nourishment, it materializes and explodes into form, as if a cry blossoms.

* I play with the phonetic proximity, in Catalan, between “flors” (flowers) and “plors” (cries).
